Becoming A Surrogate In Georgia: What To Do Next
When you first fill out the application to become a Surrogate in Georgia, you can expect to hear from one of our friendly staff within 24 hours. Once it is reviewed, one of our knowledgeable Surrogacy Case Managers will reach out to you to go over your answers and to learn more about you. The goal is to determine why you want to become a Surrogate and what you expect out of the experience. Sometimes you may not know what to expect or what questions to ask, and that’s okay. We are happy to go over the process with you, step by step. We will also ask about your medical history, personality, pregnancy history, and a bit about your life. From there, if you are chosen to continue to the next phase of our approval process, you will meet with our Agency Director and eventually the infertile couple you choose to help.
This phase will be information gathering for you – requiring no commitment from you until you find the perfect couple to help.
Becoming A Surrogate In Georgia: Compensation Packages
One of the first questions someone has about becoming a Surrogate in Georgia is about compensation – just how much do Surrogates make? Being a Surrogate requires a certain amount of time and dedication, and it also takes a toll on your body. For that commitment, you deserve to be paid. When you decide to become a Surrogate for deserving Intended Parents, you will enter into detailed discussions about compensation and benefits you will receive. First-time Surrogates with Family Makers can expect to receive generous benefits and base compensation equalling $40,000 – $55,000 throughout your journey at specific milestones. Additional pay is also given for unexpected situations, like an emergency c-section or complications during pregnancy. Compensation for providing pumped breast milk may also be offered, depending on the family you decide to help. Surrogates who have completed journeys before can expect to receive a significantly higher Surrogate base compensation amount, as they have proven to be able to responsibly and successfully help someone complete their family.
